Fumoto oil pan drain valve

Approaching my first oil change and need to put a Fumoto valve on a 2021 F350 6.7L. Fumoto website says it could be a 12mm or 14mm, hard to believe there are two different sizes. Searched the forum and could not find anything relative, anybody know what size to order?

Read my post... from the Fumoto website for a '21 6.7L PSD This model uses two different bolt sizes (12mm & 14mm). For safe measure, try to get specs from the manufacturer on which bolt you have or get your bolt measured to determine which size Fumoto valve you will need.

It is the 14mm. Here is size from the EZ Oil Drain which is similar to Fumoto. I have used the EZ Oil Drain on my 2015 and other Ford products with satisfaction to no end. I also get the 90* bend to point the oil down into a catch container.

Thanks for the help Larry, I have not been under it yet and didn't realize the oil pan bung was on the side. I would have just ordered the straight valve like I had on my 6.0.

The drain plug is on the rear of the pan. You have like 10-12 quarts behind the drain plug. That is why one of the valves, Fumoto or EZ, is so nice, You can go under with a 2.5 gallon jug, drain till almost full, stop the flow and then restart with new jug. Also, with the 90* and a short piece of clear plastic hose you can drain straight down into a big pan or maybe into a 5gallon bucket if you have a raised 4x4.

It's going to be whatever version of the 106 you want. Beats me why they think the 2021 has two different sizes. My 2017 was a F106S. Short nipple, which requires a clip on adapter gizmo. In the past I've used the long nipple and I don't know why I went with the short one. Long is easier, in my opinion.

I love the Fumoto, but damn...it takes forever to drain. Used to use it on my other vehicles. Have since switched to Stahlbus though.

I like the spring clip idea! I have a Fumoto on all 4 of our vehicles. I use the K&N filter with a 1" nut on the end too. This makes it very easy to change the oil on any vehicle we have no matter where we are. We travel quite a bit and sometimes I change oil in a parking lot or a rest stop.

Your right, the Fumoto does drain slowly. I use that time to look over other areas like tires, other fluids, etc.

I had a Fumoto on my 2002 and they used that tension spring to secure the lever and I hated that thing. If that thing slips off your pliers it’s either going to hit you in the face (wear safety glasses) or it ricochets off the driveway and ends up out in the yard someplace. The one on my 19 uses a small plastic clip that just snaps into place. As noted, Fumoto drains take a long time to drain, even with warm oil. Open it up and go eat lunch, it will still be dripping when you get back.

In case anyone wants to know the Fumoto F106S drains at the same speed as the Fumoto F106SX. I purchased both to do a comparison and I prefer the F106SX even though it hangs down below the pan slightly.

.
Thanks...

I'm too @n@l retentive to not use it. I've gotten better at taking off the spring clip. I live dangerously... no safety glasses.

I like having the EZ Drain... makes it easier to grab samples.

I bought the F316L just for that reason. It let's you adjust the 90* fitting where you want it. I have mine turned just far enough to not hang below the pan.
