EDIS ignition?

How can you tell if you have a EDIS ignition in a ford ranger with a 3.0l engine?

is there a round distributor, or a rectangular box where the spark plug wires come from?

oh, if it's for the truck in your signature, it's definately an EDIS. I think they switched over to EDIS in the early to mid nineties.

You do have the EDIS ignition ...and it's a solid ignition system, certainly one of the things Ford designed well.

thanks for the info. I was thinking about switching to the double platnum spark plugs but wasent shure if i had edis ignition or not but now I know and will do the switch.

How many miles do you have on your truck? The original plugs
are supposed to last 100K miles....
