fan clutch question.
One more thing to look at, are the fins on the condenser and radiator in good shape and not bent over? Anything left in the radiator blocking airflow? Anything mounted in front of the condenser blocking airflow. The radiator probably has a more extra cooling capacity that the condenser. If the air flow is low it may not be causing an over heating issue, but the low air flow may not be pulling enough heat out of the condenser. Is this a 6.2 or 6.7?
6.2 engine.
ac will freeze you out of the truck at 80 degrees outside temp moving at 30 mph before engine reaches temp.
problem with ford techs is they fire truck up and drive it inside before looking at it. so by the time they put the computer on it, the engine is already warm.
another issue it has is when below 40 degrees if you start and put in gear without warming up, engine dies. then the only way to start is is to put gas pedal to floor.
once started you have to feather gas to keep it running until it clears up, which is around 2 minutes.
once engine gets a little heat in it, everything is fine.
again, no one can figure out what is wrong with it because they start it and let it warm up before trying to diagnose it.
it has been to three different dealerships for those two problems with no resolve.

I feel your pain on dealing with the dealship and the techs. I would stay go to another dealer and give them the full details and past history. I gave up on the dealership where i purchased my truck because of it not getting fixed and damage from them too. I also replaced the fan clutch myself even though it was still under warranty.
You have a few issues. One I suspect is low or high on R134A. Have the system evacuated and then refilled with the correct amount of refrigerant.
It should have no problems starting or running below 40 until maybe it's -40°. A somewhat common issues is the check valves in the fuel pump assembly. it will allow fuel to drain back to the tank or loose enough pressure that it does not start right. Does you truck have a long crank after it's been used and then sitting a few hours? The fix for this is a new fuel pump assembly. The techs should be able to figure that one pretty easy, either no spark or not enough fuel or fuel pressure (unless you lost compression). Maybe a crank or cam position sensor or cable is loose or broken (should have DTC's in that case). check the accuracy of your engine coolant sensor too.

ac charge is perfect.
truck starts rite up. within 2 seconds whether it sits 2 minutes, or two weeks. if you let it sit and idle for 2 minutes it runs fine. if you fire it up and put it in gear, it dies than acts like a flooded carbureted engine.
we have 3 ford dealers in a 35 mile area. none of them can figure it out.
if i had low coolant, i would get a warning light, no?

Does it crank slower after it's stalled when trying to restart? That seems like something in the transmission is causing a drag on the engine when it's cold to stall it out. Maybe the torque converter? I am guessing at this point. Are the plugs wet or fouled? is it getting spark? is it getting fuel?
Is the A/C not working well because the HVAC fan slow or the HVAC duct is blocked or a blend door is not open/closed or working?
Does someone out there have a voodoo doll of your truck? Maybe try driving it to a salvage yard to scare it straight?

not starter, not spark, not fuel. it is a bad sensor somewhere. when it dies, you can smell raw gas out the exhaust once refired.
plugs are new, wires are all good. no missfire s according to autoenginuity or forscan.
ac does not work in summer when sitting still until engine is warm enough because the fan does not turn on.
start moving and it drops to 41-42 degrees out of ducts within seconds.
stop and it starts climbing.
the ac issue is because the fan will not turn on till engine reaches operating temp.
the cold start issue i am pretty sure is from a bad sensor that no one can find because they will not diagnose it properly.
they need to plug the computer in before starting it outside to bring it inside. but they wait till it is in to plug it in.
last week it was in for oil change and i asked them to look at it.
told me nothing wrong. 6 hours later when i went to get it, it started and died when i put it in gear, and would only start with gas to floor.
