Just as the title says....Stone cold engine, fan clutch engages and disengages. Cycling I guess would be a better term. I tried a search, but I must have used the wrong terms or something. Is this normal?
Leaking oil again this am...Somewhere up top this time. I cant win for loosing.
subscribing.....whether mines, stone cold or warm after running awhile. With temp switch to bi or at feet, you can hear the clutch engaging/disengaging...
Mine has been cycling for a couple of years now. I replaced it with a Napa one and it does the same thing, usually after pulling a grade it partially engages, fully engages, partial,full... This goes on till temps drop enough to disengage it.

I can see it happening on a warm engine but this was stone cold this morning. Funny thing is that my coolant temp was cold to the touch but the HPOP reservoir was scalding hot after only a few minutes of running. 138degrees by my el cheapo laser thermometer..
