I've heard of people using the pucks for body lifts, and it sounds like a good idea.
As for the large hole in the actual mount, you can weld a thin plate on there and drill a smaller hole in it for the bolt. The holes in mine were enlarged by rusting out a little. I cleaned them up and used a plate to "resize" the hole. Worked great, although I think I have the body on a little crooked.
Kevin , I've completed the fabrication part of my power steering conversion and am about ready to remount the left front qtr panel and hardware. Do you know of any particular method to get things lined up and tightened up so that the hood will shut and fit properly???? I've talked to several folks who have had a really tough GO in getting their front end body parts to line up after being removed. Obviously some guys are smarter than others and have less mechanical conflicts. Thought you might gave already tackled this problem. Thanks , s.kuteman
Skute, Always start all the mounting bolts/screws first and then tighten from the cab out. Make sure your door is lined up properly with the cab, then line the vertical plane of the fender with the door. The front of the fender should line up with the grill almost perfectly at that point. Tweak it alittle and lock it down. Then do the hood. The hood has the most play for adjustment in these front ends. Don't bother putting your inner wheel well in until you have the fender mounted completely. Hope this helps
I had to repair my cab mounts as for locating the hole I found the center marked and drilled it using the outer diameter of the steel tube inside the mount for sizing +about 1/8 inch for adjustment
For all you guys who have or are thinking of ordering the polyurethane mount bushings that don't come with hardware, on my 70 crewcab I ordered a just hardware kit from James Duff bronco parts for a 66-77 bronco, like 30 bucks. It came with little sleeves and washers that I cut and welded together then repainted them for less future rust. The washers are square but big for our bushings and one last thing you need to go to a bolt store to buy the correct lenth bolts you'll need because for some reason the kit comes with everything but bolts. hope this helps it was actually a fairly easy non lenthy project.

I haven't had to assemble the front end back to it's original setup because I built a tilting front clip. But if I did, I would leave the body mount bolts loose and put the fenders and grile back on. Then, make sure it's all alligned and tighten the body mounts.
Again, I haven't had to do this so I'm just guessing.
