The Hazard switch should be located on the bottom of the steering column at about the 4:00 position. If there is not a squareish ****, black plastic, with the word hazard on it in this location, then it may have been pulled out. Check for a hole in the column at this location. If it has been pulled out I think you'll need a new turn signal switch.

Out of curiosity, when did the option of hazard lights come out in these trucks?

I was just saying that there is on squareish **** ,,, or even a hole for it to go in. Does anyone know if this steering column could have comeout of a older truck or bronco? And the only reason I need 4 ways is when I dragen in some broke down Chevy.

I ordered back in January for my 73. I got it from Johns F-funhundred. The website is f100.com . You might also be able to order from here. Or if you are unable to an on-line order you can get them ordered through the dealer. My local dealer had them in stock but it was about 30 dollar price difference. So, I ordered on-line.

i would be careful ordering OEM turn signal switches. i bought one through my local auto parts guy and it didn't work out. My problem was getting it to return after left turns. I ended up splicing the old switch with the arm off the new one.
