How bad do they rust
I take it to a guy that does it on the lift, he charges $10 per linear foot cash only. I figure a couple hundred bucks a year is worth the mess on someone else. I do have spray cans of it that I use when working on the truck. It does smell for awhile but I spent years covered in cow sh;.. so I don't really mind. Doesn't smell in the truck just when you walk up to it.
I don't have a real winter
or snow for that matter. Recently sold my 2002 and the frame was still black. Only rust was on the leaf springs. Parked to close to the beach for some its life. When I do get snow in Wyoming, I spray off the underside with hot water when I get back to SoCal.

PS: I think the record in Rawlins is only like 35 FEET on the UP tracks!
