I had the Krown spray done when my 2019 was new (Line X talked me into that when they did the bed liner), and once a year since. I'm getting this year's respray done next week.
I just ordered fluid film and their spray gun. Are you guys applying it with the truck on the ground? Obviously a lift is ideal, but I don't readily have access to one. Just curious how big of a pain in the *** this is going to be?
I take it to a guy that does it on the lift, he charges $10 per linear foot cash only. I figure a couple hundred bucks a year is worth the mess on someone else. I do have spray cans of it that I use when working on the truck. It does smell for awhile but I spent years covered in cow sh;.. so I don't really mind. Doesn't smell in the truck just when you walk up to it.
I don't have a real winter or snow for that matter. Recently sold my 2002 and the frame was still black. Only rust was on the leaf springs. Parked to close to the beach for some its life. When I do get snow in Wyoming, I spray off the underside with hot water when I get back to SoCal.
So, since I lived in Wyoming for approx twelve years, please inform us which month it does NOT snow in Big Wonderful Wyoming!!! LOL
And now back to our regularly scheduled program.
PS: I think the record in Rawlins is only like 35 FEET on the UP tracks!
