This has now happened four times. Three of the four when I hit a hard bump with left front wheel, one time just came on. Have to shut truck off to get light to go out. Owners manual says have to go to dealer for diag and repair.
I don't have anything with this feature, nor have read of problems but consider using, borrowing, or coming by the inexpensive ELM scan tool that's CAN compliant & running FORScan diagnostic freeware on the viewing device of choice, as discussed here, Low Cost ELM Scantool - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums (ford-trucks.com) as this powerful diagnostic combo can Access & Query All of the vehicle computer / controllers, ( like the Body, GEM & ABS controllers), for clues. Have it scan for & post All code Numbers, as they can help focus a trouble shoot.
Some beginning thoughts for consideration, let us know what you find.
Without code clues, right now with the posted happenings, sounds like an electrical pin/socket contact issue, loose fit from spread socket/bent pin, or maybe corrosion on them. Or maybe a faulty wire strand crimp, or damaged insulation causing a short circuit, or maybe a faulty sensor??? SO, if you don't have or can't borrow, or come by a ELM scan tool, maybe perform a visual wiring insulation & electrical connector pin socket visual inspection & Wiggle test, to see if you can induce, or clear the problem.
More thoughts for consideration, let us know findings.
I do have forsan. I will try scanning. No codes, intermittent issue. Thinking probably a sensor issue? but what one and where? was hoping some one may have had this issue to give clue where to look.
Thanks Dan
Roll stability isn't likely to have the engine controller light up the CEL, but the ELM & FORScan will likely find codes in the ABS & Body controllers. Right now I'd have the drivers side front speed sensor, it's wiring, pin/sockets fit, contact corrosion, wire crimps & wiring insulation on the suspect list.

forscan shows code:C1956- steering angle sensor circuit failure.
status:
-previously set DTC- not present at time of request.
-Malfunction indicator lamp is off for this DTC
module: Antilock brake system.
also have a code U0154 lost communication with restraint occupant classification system module A
lamp is off.
Has the ABS light ever been on??? Did the problem come about slowly over time, or suddenly after some event, (other than after hitting the bumps)???
The passenger airbag anomaly may be in the under passenger seat electrical connector pin socket high resistance corrosion, or loose connection, as reported by numerous forum members over the years. More thoughts for consideration, keep us posted on your findings.
ABS light has never come on. Just the roll stability light, and only after the hitting of bumps. Just got back from a vacation. Once caught up will look into it closer.

Ok, then stay focused on the chassis trouble code C1956 that FORScan found. Seeing as its a steering angle ( Circuit ) fault, all the wiring & electrical connectors, pins/sockets & wire strand crimps, along with the steering angle sensor, belong on the suspect list, until a visual inspection, thump, or wiggle test suggests they're ok.

Problem has not re appeared and I have been swamped, so been on back burner. I am sure it will come back at some point during winter with holes in the roads that can swallow the truck every where.
Oh the joys of living in the salty rust belt!
Update, This week two days in a row the light just came on after driving for about 45 min. on smooth road at highway speed. Again after ignition cycle light went off but came back on after about 45 min. driving. So thinking that the issue is getting close to going from intermittent to broken. I will be taking into dealer sometime next month for a wheel alignment and have them look into it.
Thanks Dan
Ok good feedback, so lets think about this some more. Since this seems to be a long-term Intermittent problem & electrical connectors & their pins / sockets are known problem points, make sure the steering angle Sensor electrical connector is correctly & completely plugged in & locked in place. Since you live in Cold country with salted roads, maybe try disconnecting the plug & inspect for bent pin spread socket, or pin / socket contact corrosion, faulty wire crimp, damaged plug, or wire insulation.
