Do Flex Agents Also Thicken Paint?
Wife bashes bumper leaving split in paint. Weather exposure is now peeling the paint away. This is the original factory paint but it appears much thicker than a normally applied paint film. It is approximately the thickness of copier paper and just as stiff.
Question: Does the flexing agent added to paint impart any significant body (thickness) to the paint, or do I just need to apply more coats than usual?

If you use a urethane paint I don't think you need to add anything? I would go to a good auto body paint supply house and ask them to be sure.
I know some companies make a bumper coating but don't know what it is.
