Has anyone found molded mud flaps you can use with body cladding that will fit out of the box? In the past I would buy Husky's and modify them. It was a bit of a pain in the butt.

Watcher, as been discussed before, you are looking for the holy grail of Excursion parts, the molded mud flap!!! Many have tried and been unsuccessful in their quest for this rarest of rare part, I wish you well on your journey.
Seriously I don’t think anyone has successfully found an after market flap that fits the cladding I was lucky that after a blow out which tore my passenger side flap off, a fellow member offered me a replacement which he had in his shop because he had a blowout and lost his drivers side flap. Good luck in your search
There is actually one company that does make aftermarket molded mud flaps that supposedly fit. But they are insanely expensive. Dura flap is the company.
I have front and rear mud flaps on my ‘04 Limited X. I believe they were available thru Ford and they are a perfect fit. However, I got them in ‘06 and they still look like new after 170k miles and have never failed. No drilling required. They mount with OEM fender hardware and nylon plugs.
For those needing rear mud flaps, I did what Big Sky did and I got the Husky flaps for the F250 with fender molding. It took a little tinkering but they fit perfect. If you do this-have your drill and imagination ready
Glad you were able to modify the 250 flaps to fit. That’s great information for our members facing the same dilemma
Here is what I did. May seem a bit hokey but it worked and worked well. On the back part of the fender well, I took out the second screw from the bottom. I drilled a hole in the flap too coincide with that hole The holes in the flap do not line up with holes in the molding but the flap contour does. I was able to use the same screw I took out on 1 side. I had the screw clip fall off into some black hole on one side so i drilled a hole through the existing hole big enough to accommodate a toggle bolt . I put a fender washer on the screw end and reached under the fender to hold the expanding end while screwing it almost tight. It seemed mush stronger than using the same screw as was there so I went back and did the other side the same way.You may have to tinker with the hole height a little bit to get the height where everything snugs in
Don’t bother with the lower hole. On that one the screw was more like a plastic trim screw. Not strong enough to really hold IMHO. Don’t bother to try to drill it out as it has a metal backing behind it-unless you just enjoy spending forever-it is tough stuff. I dropped down lower and over to the inside and angled a toggle bolt through the flap and fender liner and tightened partially. This puts the top edge of the inside part of the flap almost directly below the bottom of the fender liner. I drilled two sets of holes in the flap and fender liner. I ran a black pull tie through each set of fender liner-flap holes and tightened partially. You can put the ratchet part of the pull tie on the backside of the fender liner. With everything not 100% secure, I tinkered with final position to get everything lined up and then tightened the 2 toggle bolts. Then I secured the pull ties. Instead of having the inside part of the flap passively sitting against the fender liner, it created a secure definitive position for the flap. Together all 4 of those secure the flap in the up down and side to side directions. Spray paint your toggle bolt s and you’re done. Anyway, that’s how I did it. I did the same on the previous three X’s I owned. They never even thought about pulling loose or cracking the fender molding. Do NOT get in a hurry drilling through the molding. If you get heavy handed you can crack the fender molding. I’m sure folks will have different methods to attach it but that was the way I dealt with the position issue and firmly securing the flap. I know pull ties are probably like duct tape in thought for some. However, in all the years of driving through snow, they never failed.

Reason: Clarification
Pirate. Do you have one of those hitch inserts with ***** hanging down or do you have a customer made hitch with ***** hanging down? That would definitely compliment the mud flaps.
Regarding the Husky front mud flaps, I got them on but in order to have them hanging down straight , you have to tilt the top of the flap out which leaves an opening about the size of your index finger where the outside molded edge is from the fender molding, if you have cladding. I've installed them on 2 others and it was the same deal. The gap is backed by the flap so there is no light or anything and no one who is not an X owner will notice. An X owner will give you a pass knowing what abandonment by Ford feels like. I don't know about ones which are not cladded...and I'm talking about molded flaps. Over the years, I even tried cutting them but I could never make it work. To make it fit contour you have to cut way into the outside molded edge aka a hole. You can buy molded ones that say they specifically for the no fender flares(non cladded) ones. Check out Red Dog. They have a complete set of those for $50. Duraflap has the straight generic kind which they nicely pre-drilled 3 holes for you and charge you $100. What's wrong with that picture? The Husky flaps are very sturdy so I chose those to live with them for my big compromise. Besides, some flaps they show for trucks stick way outside the contour of the wheel well so it's not like it's a sin...it just bothers nuts like me. Even I forget and don't see it but every once in a while. I don't know what's happening to me that I don't see it some times. Guess I'm getting old.
