Correct Pitman arm for 2005

Good morning. I finally ordered my blue top steering gear to replace my OEM “loose” steering gear.

Does anyone have the correct part number for the pitman arm? I keep finding two different parts numbers when I look under 2005 model year.

Thank you in advance.

You have to match to axle type which depends on drive type, i.e., 2WD vs 4WD.

2X4 = Twin-I Beam
4X4 = Monotube

thanks. Moog lists two for 00-04. Than they have two more parts numbers for 05-10. I was thinking moog listed the 05-10 for the different steering gear on the 05-10 f250 and just lumped the 05 excursion in.

05+ F250 has a larger sector shaft so it uses a diffrent pitman arm.
05 excursion uses the same steer gear as the 00-04 excursions since they didnt switch to the coil/link front suspension, basically 05+ f250 changed the whole front steering and suspension and excursions stayed the same.

yes if that is how they list it. some places list by spline count. yours should be 36 ( physically count your sector shaft to verify as I am getting old and senile )

I think that the MY 2000 was the last year for the 32 count splines.
