So my vacuum line broke off my front tire and now I decided to replace them all due to the year and how this looked, can anyone tell me how much line I would need to do the whole system?
Couple of questions
Why would anybody not just replace the vacuum lines ?
Its a nice benefit to NOT have to get out of the truck for 4X4
But would love to hear the theory ?
Kyle
It is a falure prone system, even when it is working a simple vaccum leak can make your hubs unlock. If you don't want to get out of the truck lock the hubs before you leave if your gonna need 4x4.

Totally have to agree, the system is a trainwreck with so many spots that are prone to failure (seal in the hub, the cheap *** hub itself, the hardlines, the rubber lines, the knuckle connection rusting closed or rusting off, water in the system rusting hub bearing). Best $2 investment you can make is to buy (2) 1/8 npt pipe plugs and close the knuckle up like has been said and get out like a man and lock in your hubs. 95% of hub bearing failures are root caused by this ****ty vac system.
