Did you by chance do an update to the CTS3? Maybe needs the latest firmware installed?
No not yet,That was something I’m gonna try.
I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.I’m very disappointed with just a single number for soot GPL.That’s the most important PID for me to tell when my regens start…It was always spot on…I never liked using the DPF %.
I had the CTS version 1 then I was forced to go to version 2 because they wouldn't update the first one to work with my newer truck.. The Edge touch screen sucks and the device needs more RAM. Never had much luck with tech support either. When I got another truck I sure the heck wasn't going to buy a third one from them. I went with the Banks iDash-
Well I just talk to an edge tech on the phone.Long story short no decimal point for the CTS 3…So I will be returning it.I was mad that my CTS 2 died after two and a half years but I figured I’d give them a second chance. One of my main reasons for buying that was the soot GPL PID which worked great for me.
Now I gotta figure out what to do…Small table with Forscan or Torque app???

Man I’m really disappointed about all this.
That sucks but is on par for Edge. Take a look at the Banks iDash. There is a thread about it in this section.
Never had any problems with Edge CTS 1 nor 2. I used the CTS 2 for like 4 years without any issues. The Idash is just too small and can't hold the data on the screen I wanted to see at a glance.

My CTS 2 was great,Did everything I ever asked of it.Then the touch screen started to not recognize my finger here and there and then it froze for almost a week.I was able to update it and it worked again for a week and then the screen completely stopped working and that was it.I really want to like the 3 and for it to work but for me,That PID reading the way it reads is a no go for me unfortunately.
I had positive experience with a CTS2 in my '03 GMC Duramax. When I bought my F350 I ordered a CTS2 for it. Same issues that others have reported, slow to respond to finger pushes, etc. Upgraded to CTS3 and was initially very happy. Brighter, larger screen and more responsive. Then the problems began...... At random times the CTS3 would die and cause a1-2 second loss of power to the truck. (Engine power, NOT electrical.) SCARY when you are pulling out into fast moving traffic. I found Edge tech support to be very helpful and responsive. Over a period of 3 months last summer they helped me with numerous new downloads in an attempt to fix that fisrt issue, which they did, but after that was resolved, the CTS3 would randomly shut off. If the cruise control was engaged it would also turn OFF. not just disengage. Very frustrating! As I said, I worked with Edge tech support for 3 months and finally gave up. Returned the CTS3 for a full refund. Been looking at the iDash, but don't want to have the same problems as with the CST3.
