If I remember right, Ltngdrvr delivers campers all over the country. Staying under CDL limits and good MPGs are a priority for him I would think. A 10k F250 will give him room to pull a 16k trailer without going CDL, and the 3.31s will eek out 1/2 mpg better in the flats.

You can get the 3.55's without the HCTP now, raises GVWR to 10,400.
But, I don't need either the extra towing capacity, or the 3.55's, and as @ATC Crazy stated, every extra pound of truck GVWR reduces the trailer GVWR I can tow legally without a CDL.
Same with 2WD instead of 4WD, don't need the extra cost, the extra weight, the extra maintenance, never go off road, so 2WD is exactly what I need.
I've been round and round with this for years, and the combination I spec'd is just right for my needs.
I'm really looking forward to towing with the new 10-speed and 1050 torque, going to be a MONSTER!
Going to flatten the hills like they were nothing, and should boost my towing fuel economy.
Wish I could have it NOW!!!
So, since my order seemed to be flying through the system, I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my X-Plan PIN from MCA before my truck landed because supposedly you had to wait 90 days after becoming a MCA member to be able to get or at least use the PIN.
I emailed the XYZ Plan admin from the ford partner site and asked them about it, and they emailed me back and said that I only have to wait 60 days!
So, relief there as 60 days will fall well before my build week.
Of course, now I'm worried about the new sync4 delay, but supposedly that doesn't affect orders already scheduled, but things are changing so quickly and often I am not going to count on anything until it happens.
