Ford transmission question
I need a transmission for a 1991 Ford 1/2 ton automatic with overdrive built in the shifter linkage. I found a trans in another truck that is a 1990 Ford 1/2 ton automatic same engine but the overdrive is a button on the dash....does anyone know if this transmission will fit in my 1991?

Probably it will fit, the reason that some trucks have a button is to turn the overdrive off, some guys don't want it when they are towing or 4 wheeling. If the truck you found has the right bell housing pattern you could add the button to yours or just forget it,we have the button but never use it. what does you mechanic think? DF
