Gonna take care of this problem once and not have worry about it for 8 yrs/100K miles.
Jack, dying to know what where you sourced from? PM great! Also, might as well look at idler pully?

I did the degas bottle right after I bought it. There were some stress cracks along the top and I didn't want to find out how long it would last. I didn't get the hoses for that, probably should, and the heater hoses as well. What is the problem with the pully that I should look for? I looked at dieselsite, but I'm too much of a cheapskate for those prices. I went with something cheap, figured why not check out the quality. If they are junk, I'll put them on my wood truck and spend the big bucks on something better.

I guess it's more of a tensioner for the belt. Thought I'd seen that on list of guys going through cooling system.

You wont see much if the pulley is worn, and I thought nothing of re-using it the last time I did the water pump. Later on down the line though the belt started running up against the inside edge of the pulley instead of in the middle, causing a squeal. Swapping belts didn't help, but spraying some water on the smooth side of the belt would make it jump back into the middle of the pump pulley for a few seconds. That's basically how I diagnosed it as the pulley being the problem. (I watched a Youtube video where somebody else had the same trouble). New pulley fixed it. Unfortunately it meant removing the top hose and taking the fan out
