Yeah true a 21.

Invoice minus a PCO minus $1,000 incentive and it would be less than I got for my 2019. Same exact options.

When I build and price a 2021 as close as I can to my 19, it comes out to an MSRP of $2,980 more. IF I were to get invoice price on a comparable 22 and IF I had a $2k PCO(I don't currently), the 22 would still cost me $10k more than I paid for my 19.

Trade values are high enough to offset some, but not all of that difference in my case.

Agree. Show me a done deal, truck for truck and then it’s still a 4-6 month wait.

It all remains relative.
The cost gap remains the same as last year.
High trade offset by high cost to buy right now.
The OP traded for a beautiful car, and that car…like any vehicle… will take a nose dive along with everything else once car lots are back up to normal inventory in a year or two.

Since I store for the winter and my truck will sit in storage for 4+ months, I’ll be asking my dealer what the actual 22’ trade numbers are, using the same 2020 order sheet, and how it will look later this summer.

I won’t be trading truck for truck but I priced mine out in a 21 and with a PCO and 5% off the dealer quoted it would be within a few hundred bucks or less if incentives popped up.

I narrowed it down to a 2.7 F150 SCLB in lariat or XL or an F250 7.3 SCLB in lariat or XL. I have wheels, 1.5 lift springs, and a road armor rear bumper for an f250.

As far as the car it was a good deal and I don’t know if I would ever sell it they quit making them and they are rare. Maybe for a new G wagon, then I would flip that and get an older one I could mod.

I could not resist either. Had a sale fall apart yesterday and when I returned home, had an offer for 3k more in my inbox. I sold (cash in the bank) my 2020 F-250 today for 10k more than I paid for it over a year and 7200 miles ago. My 2022 F-350 is scheduled for production on 7/26. When it is all over I will have a two year newer truck with no miles with 2k in upgrades and it will cost me 2k out the door, tax included. Fortunately I don't use the truck for a living and can wait out the delivery of the new truck. Unprecedented times.
