Anything to block endoscope down filler neck?

I tried to feed my inexpensive (endoscope) down into the diesel tank to see what I could see. It seemed like something stopped me from going beyond about 13 or 15 inches. (Couldn't see what it might have been even with the view on visible view transmitted to my phone.
They don't have some type of screen down there to keep from dumping solids down the filler neck do they?
I really did wiggle & twist it around quite a bit trying to get it down into the tank but just couldn't seem to get it in there.
I have not read (that I can remember) anyone writing a post about doing a tank inspection in this way. Maybe there's a reason. I hear a lot of speculation about (what could be causing xyz issue) but never an answer of "use an endoscope to inspect" Usually seems to be a drop the tank & do a Hutch Mod ...& clean up broken plastic... Is there access to the tank in this manner???????

There could be something inserted into the filler neck in order to prevent a miscreant from siphoning your fuel out. If your scope has a lighted tip you can the flexible probe down the filler next to see what if anything is in there.

Thanks JWA for reply;
Yeah, it's got the lighted tip. I just could not make anything out in the view screen that looked like it would/could be stopping the further insertion. I would of thought a screen would be clearly visible. It's not the best (orientation) when you use the thing as far as being able to tell up from down but that should not have been an issue to see something like a screen. Guess I will just have to give it another try.

Also I would have thought (maybe) if there was any type of screen , When fueling (especially at high speed pumps which I can use because I opened up the diameter of the filler neck), That there would be a big diesel foam up & backing up of fuel? Maybe not. Just a thought.
I will give it another shot & post if I get an answer. Thanks again for reply. DDT

Most every restriction I'm aware of is a cone-shaped wire coil where the pointed end facing downward. A screen would maybe collect debris and becomes a blockage that would be difficult to clean.
