What is harpooning??

I've read talk of harpooning the tank ! In laymans terms what is it?? and how much does it cost??

Cost is free just your labor. Gasser you the same tank as diesel and has an expansion area in the tank for just that purpose. Diesel doesn't need it and the vent tube sticks down into the tank which allows the foam from diesel to back up into the neck. It takes longer to fill completely so if you drop the tank and cut off the vent tube close to the top you can fill the tank faster and put more fuel in than normal. Alot of guys also do the pre-pump mod at the same time which will stop the air from being sucked into the system. Hope this helps

If you have a buddy to assist in removing/installing the tank it only takes a couple of hours.

Much, much easier if the tank is empty or close to it.
