Door seal kits difrences?

I'll be replacing my door seals and noticed LMC, Bronco graveyard and Dennis Carpenter all sell kits and the price ranges from $40-$60. Anybody have reviews or endorsements for these guys or good experience with anybody else?

Also DC has two sets of vent window seals the cheap one says it's the same as the expensive on and the only difference in the descriptions is that one uses the word rubber. Anybody know why one is twice the price?

Also seem to be many preferring 80-96 door seals.

Yes I forgot to mention that I also got a cab/door pinch seam seal set from a mid to late 90's Ford truck in the junk yard. They have the metal inlay and seem to grip the pinch seam very well. They follow the upper top corners door opening angles pattern very well also. But where they come together (under the scuff/step plate) you have to trim off 6" ish. I did have to glue the lower back corner, that angle did not match. You can see the ripple of the seal on the lower corner, but it works.

My recommendation would be Precision rubber products. I wasn't impressed with the Steele products that I purchased for another project. I also would recommend the later 80's-mid 90's door seals that grip the pinchweld - a much cleaner/easier install IMO. I disliked very much working with that 3M Weatherstrip cement with the original style seals.

I just installed the 80-96 seals on mine. Really like the clip on deal better than a bunch of glue. Wish I would have checked out the fit for it before paint and interior were done. The lip on the opening is a little wider than the gasket wants to go on. So it sits a little canted. I probably would have ground the lip down a little bit but didn't want to do it with everything done. Another lesson learned.

Did all my window door seals about a month ago, look at the part # for the kits, there's a good chance you are buying the precision kit regardless of who you order from ! and you can save lots of $$ just ordering the same kit from someone else, cheapest i found was Summit and Jegs... FYI everyone was about 2 months out on the kit, even if they tell you its in stock, they have been drop shipping them straight from precision...

Just pop off/remove the scuff plate on the (donor) newer truck and peel the seal off, it was that easy.

Install time, start at the top front corner working your way back to the top rear corner, those fall in place just fine. It is the lower front and rear corners that need some work. And then cut some off the bottom to get it under your OEM metal scuff plates.
