Question with heads

1. One of the head bolts (top left rear and top front right) I can see thru the accessory mounting bolt holes and see the shaft of the head bolt. Is there a risk of oil wheeping under the head bolt, down the shaft and out the holes? Should I put a little silicone in there to plug thru the accessory mount hole or dont worry bout it.

2 while setting lifter preload I noticed a little black mark on a small plug, turns out to be exhaust port plug rusted. Should I replace it with another plug of the same type. Or is it better to 1/4 tap the hole and stick a plug in there. Feel like the plug will never go bad. Has anyone else done that?

Thanks

After poking at it a little

Don't worry about that head bolt it won't leak. That plug needs replaced however you choose to do it.

Thank you for the info. Ive decided to go with new plugs vs tapping the hole 1/4npt and thread plug in. The hole measures .5 inch and thats a little larger than the drill size needed for 1/4npt (.4375 or 7/16") the push in plugs should be the path of least potential issues.
