Wink proportioning valve

I will be putting the brakes on my 56 soon as i get thru sand blasting the frame. Going to update what the plans are now. Putting dropped axle, with new spindles and bushings, disc brakes, booster and master cylinder, 9 inch from a 62 thunderbird, 4 link with coil overs. now for my question. where would be the best place for an adjustable proportioning valve? Thanks for letting me bend ur ears.

I have always placed them forward on the frame and out of sight. I've never owned an adjustable P-valve though. As long as I used one with the appropriate front to rear disc vs drum combo it always worked out very well. Adjustable was always plan B but I never needed to do it.

Nor do I but my build was partially used parts from the salvage yard just to keep the overall cost somewhat close to sane. Threw a P-valve in the parts pile and paid a couple bucks for them. Generally speaking a P-valve distributes 70/30 front to rear. A modded truck is a grand trial and error experiment. A valve off most any car or truck has a high probability of working fine. I happened to used old Ford Econoline van stuff. Don't let me cause you any stress. An adjustable P-valve will do fine. I just spent the money on something else because I knew it was highly likely to work out and it did. Brake line fittings are stupid complicated with new one off metric fittings. I wouldn't go grab a valve off a random anti-lock equipped car today.
