Compatible rear end
I have a 1964 F350, years ago before I bought the truck the dual wheel on the rear were stolen so now I have a SRW. I use this truck to haul a bit of wood and hay for the farm from time to time. As the likely hood of finding a set of usable dual wheels located in Eastern Canada is slim to none I am curious what other years 1 ton rear end will fit with minimum modification. Ideally I could find a donor truck and swap the front end out and make it power steering.

I believe a Dana 70 from a '68-'72 F-350 will fit (it's an 8-lug so at least there are dually wheels commonly available). It's been 20 years but I think only the brake hose (frame to axle) needs to be replaced with a '68-'72 also. Original was 4.88 and so was the replacement.
