Duraspark VS Duraspark II

Hello All,

I have an 86 F250 equipped with the 460.

According to the service manual, my truck should have
the Duraspark II ignition box, but the one in my truck
only has Duraspark written on it.

Should there be a 'II' on it or can it be a 'II' without
stating it?

What are the differences between a Duraspark and a
Duraspark II?

My poor old truck seems to be all in by 65MPH while
towing... wondering if maybe the spark is a little weak.

I've already done the tune up thing and added an Accel
super coil to the truck.

my '83 has a duraspark as well, and though it only reads duraspark on the casing, my impression was that they used the duraspark II in 83.

i think that the dura and dura II were different colors where the wires come out, but i dont remember what the colors were.

I HAVE A 460 WITH THE FIRST DURASPARK AND THE WIRES ARE COMING OUT OF A BLACK BLOCK ON THE DIST POST..ITS DEFINITELY NOT DURASPARK II..NO IDEA ABOUT THE COLOR DIFFERENCE THO BETWEEN THE TWO...
