FIPL broken?
FIPL broken?
Hi.
I have a 1993 E-350 7,3 idi with a E4OD.
Measured my FIPL today, and it was on 5V constantly, when throttle was in idle position, when i put full throttle, and also when i tried to adjust it..
Does this mean my FIPL need to be replaced?

Are you sure you are testing the correct wires? If I remember correctly; you have 5. volts on one wire, one is a ground and the other should read around 1.-1.2 volts at idle and 4.5 volts wide open.
I am fixed to adjust one on a 1994 and it was reading 1.0 and 4.0 and it doesn’t kick down passing gear on a hill so it is real sluggish.

Measured again today. Read 1,5 on idle and 4 on full throttle. Is this within, or should i adjust it? It shifts strange, sometimes early, sometimes late, sometimes smooth, sometimes hard, and surges on a certain rpm...
