I bought this this as advised by Bilstein from an inquiry through their website. Part #33-185569. Rear shock. The bar pin from ProComp shock will not go through Bilstein upper mount. Was told by them to source a pin from 4wl parts, summit that will fit through 5/8 hole. Someone else gave me the idea that the correct part might be 33-236964. Hope someone can help sort this out.
2005 RWD (2WD)
ProComp lift 6"
I can confirm they do come with the proper mounting bracket on the top (assuming 2WD is same as 4WD models). I would take a pic, but they are already installed right now.
I am unable to confirm if the 33-236964 will work for a 6" lift (I got them for a 4" lift).
hose down the rubber bushing with WD40, and press the pin into the bushing using your vise as a clamp.
do not cram it completely through in 1 try, rather unclamp it and wiggle the bar around to keep it going in straight without gouging the rubber.
of go caveman style and set the shock eye on a block of wood being carefull not to let the shock body touch, coat bushing with wd40, tap the bar into the bushing to get it started . once started give a heavy rock to a 10 year old and tell him to knock it home in 1 whack while you hold the shock.
Thanks Terracar and Pirate. Pirate, thank you I look forward to cavemaning that bar in. Another question posed by someone else is if the shocks are valved for my rig. That sounds like a good question for Pirate...
