No more then my 2017 5.0L Coyote, I was surprised when I heard it was only 8 quarts for the new 7.3L, but it’s nice they kept it that low, better then the 10-12 quarts that diesels take.
The oil interval readout calculates your percentage reduction based on driving conditions from the resource I read. It takes into account somehow and I don’t know how if you drive in dusty conditions and the type of driving you do. Who knows…..maybe it does have the intelligent monitor. I have always been a 5k proponent. I will stay that way too.
I see a lot of idle hours( like A LOT) so I go by than rather than miles, usually 200-225 hours, the OLM is always around 50% when I drop the oil.
I'm not a believer in the 10k OCI that the manufactures and the OLM suggest, maybe if I wasn't planning to keep the truck for 10,000 hours but I've seen some engines taken apart that ran 10k OCIs and they were full of sludge, compared to the 5k OCI guys motors are very clean. I'll stick with the short OCI myself, oil is cheap.
