My driver's seat belt doesn't retract worth a damn, so I'm looking to replace it. I have struck out with my usual sources (FPG, LMC, even Ebay & Amazon). Do you guys know where I can find a good replacement? I'm about to start calling salvage yards, but I wanted to hear y'all's thoughts on it. I mean, it's only been 15 years since this generation went the way of the dodo bird, can it really be that tough?
There have post on the forum about rebuilders and members have been satisfied with their work. The problem arises mostly with the rear belts which have been obsolete for a while Hopefully one of the members will chime in with the company name because i don’t recall it What about a belt from a super duty, that might be an option? . Good luck!!

From what I've gathered, a Super Duty belt works up front. I almost always search for F250 parts unless what I need is specific to the Ex. It's funny how many things are listed as "not fitting" the Excursion that do.
Does the belt need to be cleaned? When I stripped my interior after to clean I bought it, I cleaned the belts, they work much better now.
I did the same. Had a carpet/upholstery cleaning guy (a local neighbor), clean mine and they look and retract like new. I mean mine were disgustingly filthy! The best way and this is how we did my drivers belt, is to remove the belt, lay it out flat on a firm surface, we did it on the driveway, and he sprayed his magic solution, let it soak for a minute or so while scrubbing the solution in then used his vacuum to suck all the moisture out. The rest he did in the truck. It was like a television commercial. I was sold!
Save yourself the dough and clean them first. If your springs still don't retract, then there's Safety Restore. https://www.safetyrestore.com/conten...RoCFRcQAvD_BwE
