Does anyone know where to get a new complete shoulder harness seatbelt assembly for an 80-86 truck?
The drivers side one on my truck is really starting to fray out to the point that I can't move the slider up and down it which presents an issue at times since i live in an area with primary seatbelt enforcement.
I'm trying to track down a maroon drivers side assembly, new.
It may not be cost-effective to make them....different colors, lengths, buckles, web weave...low volume. Then there's the liability if it breaks in a bad wreck.
When I wanted to change the seatbelts from red to gray on my '83 I visited the junkyard. Took a set out of a '92 and had an upholstery shop put the webbing in my retractors. The "universal fit" retractors wouldn't work with the trim molding in the '83. (It has the shoulder mounted retractors)
That's what i'm figuring on trying, find a place that can legally reweb belts. As it sits I have a spare set of black belts, but everything in the truck is red including the other belts.
