Our dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback) when we first got him, didn't like the fact that he had to wear a seatbelt when in the 'Star. I caught him before he chewed the belts in half but he managed to cut the belts (two different ones) pretty good to the point that I'm sure that they're not safe.
I've seen some replacement shoulder belts in JC Whitney that look like they'll work...anybody done this before? Anywhere else to find the belts?
Oh and there aren't any Aerostar in junkyards around here!
Look at the tag at the bottom of the belt. That is where I usually have to look to get a good number. Once you have the number, ask the dealer what the current part number is. Once you have that, you can search aftermarket places for one. Be prepared to spend some money.
Instead of ordering the belt from whitney, order it from an American junkyard. You won't have a problem locating one in the states, and it will be original and a lot better than whitney trash.
ciao and have a canole for me
