I have been having Excessive black smoke on take off?
I've already put new air filter in, will clean egr in the morning. I have a welded delete with valve still in. Not sure if that will help.
Next question is what are the odds on dirty turbo versus injectors starting to go bad.. Truck only has 120000 miles on.
I'm planning on turbo cleaning Thursday. Have unison ring and kit on the way.
Any input on what to look for as I'm digging in?
Yes I'm running a superchips economy tune. I am going to pull egr valve and take a look at it and inside of intake this morning. I have new air filter as posted above.
A little worried now. EGR valve valve was clean but the bottom of intake was a little moist. I have a welded delete on it. Y'all think it's possible the weld sprung a leak.
also put truck back to stock. Excessive black smoke gone. Gonna try a low tow tune and see what that does. If I don't carry a tune I have the speed limiter on and my tire size goes to stock size tires. I'm running 31.5 h tires and like the Speedo to read the Wright speed.
I got a little black smoke when my EBP tube was clogged up, because I was giving it so much pedal to make up for the turbo not being turned on. IDK that it has anything to do with yours, but running a wire down it real quick isn't hard; about like checking the EGR.
