1987 E350 with 460. Cranks and idles like a champ, but when you rev to mid to higher RPM it starts busting out. What I’ve replaced so far.
fuel pump
fuel filters
rebuilt carb
plugs
coil
switched coil out and it was fixed, until today. I have put four different coils on it and it’s not fixing it this time. Any help is Appreciated
Check the supply fuel line from tank to carb, may have a small crack or hole in the rubber sections. Also try loosening or removing fuel cap temporarily.
A couple other ideas are ignition module and pick-up coil/pip sensor (whatever it's called) in distributor. Although when I've had either of those fail - they'd quit when hot - as in truck dies and/or won't restart until cooled off.
