My 90 E150, has the left rear shackle just about rusted away. Is there a place That sells a decent built one? Most of the stuff I'm seeing looks like its only about an 1/8" thick and by the looks of the OEM, I'd say those are at least 3/16th - 1/4". Thanks for any info.
I agree----your existing suspension parts are 30+ years old and seem to have lasted a good long while. I'd definitely go OEM or ATS---both very good sources.
I have an '03 E-250 extended body that made it just over 200K miles and 12 years before needing both rear shackles and one spring perch replaced. My 2000 and 2005 each are still in perfectly sound shape.
This is what I'm looking for, D5UZ-5775-D or D5UZ5775C They're discontinued Obviously. I haven't measured the wheelbase yet so I'm not certain which one I need. What you guys are suggesting are the Shackles, which I guess I did say shackle, I guess I meant to say the perch, the actual part thats bolted to the frame. Sorry for the confusion.
Yes very similar, I'm not sure if mine has 4 bolt or 6 bolts. I'll have to climb under it again...I do know that the bracket has rusted away completely around one of the top bolts.
