Truck is a 78 f150 4x4 I was wondering if front springs from a 2wd f350 would fit in the front or possibly 4x4 f250 springs. I'm going to be installing a much heavier engine than the 351m so I'm guessing the front springs ain't going to do so well thanks.
F250 4wd will be leaf springs in front. IDK about the 2wd 350. The 351M is a heavy motor anyway. Are you installing some unusual motor in it or just a 460?

I'm planning a 4bt cummins swap might end up going with a 12 valve though which is even heavier. but they seem to be cheaper than 4bt's at the moment for some reason.
You would probably need to go to a 2- 2.5" lift coil spring to keep close to a stock height I would guess. Might give a slight increase in ride height but with the added weight that may be a good thing. Unless someone has done that swap it may be trial and error to get the right height.
