1969 N700 brake issues

Over the winter, the brakes on my N700 went out while plowing snow. Fortunately the road I was working on was very rural so there was no other automobiles around when it happened. Also, it is handy to have an extremely heavy anchor bolted to the front end lol. So, I am in the process of replacing the master cylinder and wheel cylinders and have run into what I think is a weird development. The hydrovac on my truck is a frame mounted piston style bendix 2501029 (stamped on the id tag on the unit). This does not seem to be the correct booster for my year and model. Before I go searching for a new or rebuilt one, what should be on there?
Thanks!

Why do you think it's not the correct or OEM booster?

Did it work ok before the failure? Was the failure caused by wheel cylinder leaks? Or something else?

That unit appears to be available:

I referenced the Ford master parts list and although I could find this part number, it was not listed for my particular truck. I think it was for an F800 or 850? The one listed for my truck was a smaller diaphragm type. Having said this, I do not think that I have ever successfully navigated the ford master parts book without the help of Numbers Dummy. LOL.
As far as the booster working before the failure, yes it was. Everything was acting normal, then no brakes at all. First pump I noticed was soft, the next went right to the floor. It acted like a broken line. I was lucky I was pushing snow and not hauling rock or something. After I got it home, I found that the master cylinder was completely empty of fluid, but I could not find any bad lines or obvious leaking wheel cylinders. The firewall was dry as was inside the cab. Not sure where the fluid ended up. I think the booster is ok but I am trying to get all my part numbers and availability sorted out just in case. I have removed the master cylinder and will bench test it this weekend. Hopefully its one or two bad wheel cylinders or the master cylinder. That booster looks expensive.

Check the vacuum line to the booster. I think it is unlikely that you can suck brake fluid with those boosters, but it costs nothing to check.

Wheel cylinders will be obvious. You know you can pull the duals, hub and drum as a unit to get to the rear brakes. Saves some knuckle busting at the risk of being pinned by the duals if you let them tip over on you.

Check the lines and wheel cylinders as you plan, those would be the prime suspects imo. They always were on the farm trucks.

I bench tested the master cylinder which seems to be fine, and looks like it has been replaced in the past. The vacuum line from the manifold to the booster looks pretty old and has some exterior cracks, will replace that. I did find the problem, front passengers wheel cylinder is leaking like a sieve. I guess I did not catch the leak when it happened because it pretty much dumped the whole master cylinder reservoir while I was rolling. That is my guess anyway as the wheel was dry initially. Now there is about a half quart of brake fluid on the bottom of the inside wheel and tire. My impact gun doesn't seem to have the muscle to remove the lug nuts and I broke my cheater bar, so will be looking into a plan B getting that wheel off. I sure hope it did not ruin the pads.

3/4 or 1 inch impact "needed" for those lugs. And a BIG air compressor.

What kind of wheels do you have?

I knew you were going to say that 😖

My record is still unbroken. That being I have never successfully navigated the ford master parts book to a correct conclusion.
Maybe I should start with something smaller like gas caps.
I have to learn this thing! Lol
As always, grateful for your help ND

Finally got a impact gun that can handle these lug nuts. Was able to remove the drum only to find that the pads were pretty saturated with fluid. Aside from that fact, the pads have plenty of wear left. I am going to try to find new pads and wheel cylinders. The bearings look fine and there are no horrible grooves in the drums (thankfully)
Drum inside dimensions are 15x3.5

brake fluid mess.
