I need a replacement carb

My carb has been rebuilt once already and rather than rebuilding it again, I'd rather get something I can just bolt up and be done with it. Truck is an 86 F250 with the 8500 lb and up rating. It's a 460 and has a 4180 on it now. Not sure if it's a 4180c or just a 4180.

I went to Holleys site and found these:
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...arts/FR-80555C

https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...arts/FR-80783C

I'm not near my truck today so I can't pop the hood to check anything but I believe it has an electric choke because I don't have anyway of turning off the choke without tapping the gas.

Can anyone tell me if either of these will work?

Thanks.

The first one is a spreadbore carb, it will not bolt up. The other one will. Do you have a 3 speed automatic or a 4 speed?

This one will be easier to hook the fuel line up. The other one you found is going to require you to buy a dual feed fuel line. And this one has some of the automatic kickdown already on it, you will need to research what you need to hook the rest of the Ford system up.

As mentioned the first one is a Rochester-style spread bore.

Also, that carb will not function with the emissions devices on the truck. If they are still in place you will need to do modifications to fit the carb, Just be aware it is not just a bolt-on.
You can opt for re-man factory carb
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...24031&jsn=1538
But they are not cheap either.

Another option is to opt for the summit M2008 Far cheaper than the Holley and comes with full literature on how to tune and set up
The Summit carb is made by Holley for Summit and is basically the old Holley 4010 which in it's self is based on the Ford/Autolite 4100
Your stock carb is 600CFM First link is the 600CFM Carb
The second is the 750CFM one.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-m08750vs

Since you have an auto application you will need the additional Kick down bits
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-m08070

To be honest given the choice I'd take the summit for a stock or mildly modified application over the Holley
The annular boosters in the Summit will provide better throttle response and fuel economy and it is a less costly carb to boot.

Lot of good knowledge there, I really appreciate the info. Thanks
