Thanks! How can a dealership sell the same Premium Protect plan for less than Ford Motor Company? Seems a little strange! What are you referring to with the 10 speed transmission?
Same plan. Flood, and others, are making less profit on each sale than FMC selling direct or other dealers. But the online discounted sources sell a lot more plans.

Flood Ford made a conscious decision to sell volume for a reduced price. When I mentioned to my dealer I was going to check the price from Flood Ford, the finance guy said "Yeah, I can't touch their price!".
There are at least 2 links on this forum regarding the recall/stop sale/no deliver order on the 10spd transmission. For that reason alone, I recommend an ESP. Who knows what else is lurking... Not to mention, all the electronics in a modern truck. It is insurance against all the possible stuff that can go wrong.

Agreed! Thanks everyone. I can get the Flood plan for $2,000, Ford wanted $3,600 for the same plan

So just to be clear. The plan Flood is selling is the exact same plan as my local dealer? My local dealer wanted $5600 for the 8/100k and Flood has it @ $1415 for my wife’s new Ranger. But I need the plan on my new 22 F250 if it ever gets built.

Without actually seeing the plan your local dealer was trying to sell you, there is no way of knowing if they are the same. What is known is that Flood Ford is selling genuine Ford Motor Company backed plans. Not a 3rd party plan. You could ask your dealer if there is any difference in what they are offering you at that price, it will also give them the opportunity to price match.

I plan on talking to my dealership tomorrow about the ESP. But using Flood’s chart for plans and adding the Light coverage, Flood is about $4000 cheaper than my local dealer. Then dealer wanted another $4900 for Maintenance package.
