Been a year since upgrade
The Turbo spins up fast and seems to flatten out around 2800 rpm so my power curve is between 1800 to 2800 rpm. I keep the speed pulling the trailer at 65 mph but have giddy up and go to pass at 80 mph if I want. I have been very happy with the upgrade with the power and throttle response. I can't tell you what boost is as I need to add something to record it accurately. The Edge does give me boost from 0 to about 12 so I do know when I have increased or not much boost. I have read all the Turbo talk but not much has not sunk in. I wanted to update what I have done so I will give the details. I figure knowledge is power and this is what I paid. I figure most on this forum do their own work so you can compare. Conclusion is I love the reliability and power of the truck. My wife and I are in the process of going from a GVWR 10K 5Th Wheel to a GVWR 7K 5th Wheel. We just did not need the all the room we had and we move around alot. We shall see what the tow is like after the new Trailer is brought online. Thanks everyone.

Your dead on right about most of us do our own work, but sometimes we don't have the time, ability or experience. In those times we have been helped by FTE'rs in person or on here in order to find a reputable shop.
Your also right about knowledge being power. Having more information allows for more choices and informed decisions!
I too have a 2000 ZF6 and love the truck. It has 255,000 miles on it and runs better than the day it rolled off the KY plant floor. It needs TLC every once in a while, but it is a working truck. 90% of the time it is rolling it has 10,000 - 12,000 lbs strapped to the back. We travel cross country (except for northeast of PA) towing a 5th wheel.
We call the west (CO, WY, MT, NM, UT, WA, ID) our stomping ground because we have friends and family throughout most of them. We call north GA home though and love it out here more than anywhere else we have been on this planet. Probably like it better than Mars too, but we are waiting on Elon Musk to help us with that decision.
You have done a lot of work to that truck and seem to be really happy with it. I am curious about your exhaust brake. Do you know if it was manufactured by anyone and installed by your shop or if they built it themselves?
If you are contemplating a new turbo, I would ask that you verify that your exhaust brake is not utilizing the OEM pedestal and exhaust back pressure valve. Even if it is, KC Turbos has some great drop in options. They even have a turbine wheel upgrade that when paired with a billet compressor wheel it works quite well for the fellas that want to retain the OEM turbo housings. It looks like you have a Garrett GTP38R though, so no go on that turbo I believe. KC may have some upgrades for it, but the 38R has been known to "reject" billet wheels.
If you have a few minutes to browse over a spreadsheet that an FTE'r created for just the sort of thing you may be asking about, check out thus link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...e-reviews.html
