Installing Locking Hubs

Good Afternoon,

I have an 04 Ex, 4x4, 6.0, Limited with auto locking hubs.

I am considering removing my auto locking hubs and replacing them with manual locking ones. I know I will need to block off the vacuum lines but is there anything else which needs to be done? I will remove the control module inside the engine bay on the right fender. Does the vacuum also control the transfer case or is that completely electric?

thanks,
Jeff

That control module also controls your AC /defroster flow. A common cause of the ac defaulting to the defroster when that unit breaks I would just cap your lines

Transfer case is entirely electronic and unless I’m mistaken you dont have to replace the locking hubs. Auto is open and lock is lock, just pull the vacuum line and plug the knuckle.
