As a side note, does anyone know why one day i have pandora on my apps screen and it works great using my presets. then the next time i get in ..its gone? it happened on the 2016 as well, but not the 2012 edge

I'm not sure why it does it but it does on mine too. Sometimes Pandora and I heart radio are available sources, other times they are gone. When they are gone and I do an app search it doesn't find them.
I think I read once where it was suggested that before turning the truck on to have the app(Pandora) open on the phone.

i did accidentally leave pandora logged in for about a week on my phone, as i didnt log out, i only closed all APPS on the phone and it was all know does not shut down pandora.
its weird how its there then its not

I haven’t been able to scroll any of my presets. I am stuck with either the last station I listened to or the first 8 in alphabetical order of my presets. What’s even more frustrating is that the Pandora app on the phone is locked when connected to the truck so I can’t change it there and voice commands don’t recognize presets.

There is an update for Ford app so maybe that is the reason?
pandora are my battery and data so I don't use it anymore.
but... my Android MOTO will not let sound through on a phone call, haven't figured that one out either so I just stopped answering the phone lol. Talk messaging works though.

very few music genre that i dont like, rap and it is not allowed , but anything from 60's 70's 80's is free game

Most likely the app is not running in the background on the phone, due to the battery saving feature. You can try adding an exception for the apps in Settings>>Battery and Device Care>>Check for Sleeping apps (somewhere in one of the options)

mine runs unless i select power saver which shuts off almost everything except phone and alerts...does not stop the darn WARRANTY robo calls though
