Why can't I edit my signature? When I attempt it I get a message that tells me it's too long (too many lines) but it doesn't even let me shorten the three lines I have now, I've even tried deleting the entire sig and I get the same message? All I'm really attempting to do is update my stated mileages.
I was just reading your post. Had me curious to see if it was site wide. So I went to my profile and made changes and saved with no problems. Not sure why you would have trouble.
Are you in a time out for something else?
I had a problem with this months ago. Tried to add to my sig, message said it was too long and wouldn’t save it. Edited back down to original and it was still too long, deleted a whole line, yup, still too long. Ended up with what I have now and it finally saved. It was a little disappointing but in my world computer ain’t ready for prime time anyway. I have three on my desk at work and so do many other people, the IT guys are putting out fires all over the place all day long. I didn’t bother the web mods because it didn’t matter all that much anyway and the hassle ain’t worth it.

Newer software, so you will have to tidy up your Sig
Take out minor mods or mostly stock and try that
Thanks, even though I got this same message, 'Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 6 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines' when I took out a couple of things, it appears to have saved it this time. I think it was the 'mostly stock' that was hang it up.

Computers are fun, I did get my sig to save when I took out a couple of things, one being the suggested 'mostly stock' and got the same message...it did save it.
One thing I stumbled on was I had extra lines in my sig (you can't see them) - I went to the end of my sig and just held down delete, then it saved the sig... This is a while back so maybe software update is what's going on now...
