Random rear door leak
I’ve seen some other posts about unidentified leaks. Mine is the right rear door only (crew cab). It’s been going on for over a year at least. First heard it slosh when I opened the door. Pulled the plug (narrow oval rubber plug above drain hole) and it drained for several minutes with additional shaking included. Rooted out the drain slot and left it and keeping the bottom drain hole cleaned out. Still It keeps happening but I can’t figure out when exactly or where it’s getting in. For example: last few weeks we’ve had light rain every so often and took it to the self car wash a couple times a week to keep pollen and junk off with only light indirect spraying. Suddenly last week door full of water. This past Saturday and night was multiple toad stranglers 3-4 inches total rain with truck sitting and driving in the rain. Sunday night took it to the drive through heavy car wash and checked door... no water! I’m about to give up and just keep checking it but I’d really like to keep it from leaking if possible. I assume the doors may be designed to take some water and drain, so either it’s taking more than intended or not draining properly? Don’t want intrusion into the door panel or electrical in the door.
