Diff cover

I have a 1985 ford f150 5.0 efi 4x4 and i wanna change the rear diff fluid in it but it looks like the cover is welded on there permanently or its only held on by a fat bead of rtv thats been on there awhile and i wanted to ask around for an easier way before i take out the whole center section and feel like a ******* after

If there are no bolts back there, you must have a 9 inch rear in your truck. Look on the front casting, on the driver's side, there should be a fill plug. If there is no drain plug on the bottom. you will have to suck the oil out of the fill on the side.
