I have noticed finned rear diff covers in the pics and videos of other 2011-12 F250/350 trucks here, are they stock or have you all (actually I should say "All Y'all") replaced them???
My truck came with the finned diff cover and aluminum drive shaft. Build date August 2010.
By the way I recently learned that aluminum alloy wheels are superior to steel or magnesium. Apparently they are very strong yet still have the flexibility of steel. Just thought you may like to know that.
I'll probably get the fined cover when I change my diff fluid. I figure its just Ford being cheap, but I'm also being cheap by not throwing away new fluid just so I can have a shiny cover.
I am, however, disappointed in these small changes (deletes of features) in the product line that are not explained to the buyer.

I am with you on both points Dim Sum. I won't bore anyone with the details.
Job #1 with a 5/10 build date and I have the finned diff cover, limited edition seats, limited edition composite oil pan AND limited edition rear end bounce @ 40-45 mph!
Sometimes I wonder if ford tricks out the early build models with these fancy items to hook folks into buying, only to take them away once we hit the roads with em.
My truck is a 06/10 build, I have the cool seats too.
I'm not really a conspiracy guy though. Prob just cost and supply changes. I wish I had the easy entry/exit feature.
