Here's my take on the most popular mod. It's a 2016 Platinum 3.5 that I recently picked up for a good deal in as-traded condition. I can't say it has been beat, but it definitely was not cared for or ever cleaned since it was new. I spent last weekend just cleaning the thing and pressure washing the mud off. This weekend was mod time. I went with the 2.5" Motofab level puck (made in USA), had the Platinum 20s powder coated with "chrome" powder, which is almost a perfect match to the original polished aluminum, 35x12.5 Hankook AT2s, and a +1" wheel spacer just to get them to sit flush with the flares. I also trimmed the air dam and removed the diaper from under the trans, which was completely full of mud.
I love the setup, but man this truck kicked my butt. Almost every lug nut was stripped, and I had to peel the stainless cover off of several of them and pound on sockets to get them off. Then all the wheels were corroded to the hubs. A sledge to the tires got the fronts off, but no amount of pounding would budge the rears. I eventually used a scissor jack between the tires and the leaf springs to press outward along with a sledge to the tires to get them off. Then my tire machine wasn't happy with the stiff sidewall on the Hankooks so I had to mount all 4 by hand. Even after all of the pressure washing last weekend I still had piles of dried mud that came out of everywhere. I must be getting too old for this crap.
In the end though, I'm very happy. The rear is still about .5" lower than the front, and I have a 1.5" block for that, but I may order a 1" block instead or possibly helper bags. I don't want the squat, but I also don't want to go back to the stink bug stance. Next focus though will be fixing the power running boards and putting them back on, and making some forscan changes. Really loving this truck.
Nice. Go 1.5” in the rear. Mine is .5” higher in the rear and it really needs another inch. It looks decptively factory with those wheels and tires being the same as the factory, only bigger. I like the stealthy look rather than the mdoified look.
I like the airdam trim too. I did mine in a very similar way.

Good looking Platinum you have there in my favorite Ford color......White Platinum. Very classy looking color.
Looks like your cleaning efforts paid off and I really like the “tasteful” wheel and tire mod especially not sticking out several inches beyond the fenders.
If you use an iPhone and you like Apple CarPlay, here’s a bit of advice that will help you out.
On the 2016 F150’s with SYNC 3, you will have to swap out the actual USB module to get Apple CarPlay to work. It’s an easy swap to do and it will only take between 10-15 minutes.
Truck looks great, you really had to work at it.
On the rear, you mention a 1.5" block, are you thinking of stacking them? Never a good idea.
Here's mine with 2.5" level, and 2" rear block.
I just installed the Ford Performance Fox 2.0 Kit on my 2019 Ford Screw Platinum, leveled out my truck nice, looking for advice on tires, Discount recommend 285/60R20 Toyo Open Country AT3s but my Ford dealer recommended 295/55R20s, Toyo's again. Just want to fill the wheel well a bit so a little taller and a little wider, maybe a inch, nothing too aggressive, all terrain which will be not to noisy on highway. Just curious what you all recommend.
The 295/55/20s are only .75” taller than you factory tires. The 285/60/20s are 33.5” tall and are a good match for your Fox 2.0 kit. You will like the ride of the slightly taller sidewall too.
Thanks, I did find a site that you can put in current tire size and potential tire and it will do a comparison and show stats and picture of how much bigger, the 285/60R20s do look better just like you said, thanks for your info.
Nice looking trucks. I love looking at trucks and what people are doing. It is a hobby for us truck guys !..
'17 5.0
2" lift in front. 1" lift in rear. Over factory. thinking I probably should have gone 2" over factory in rear ( I still might)
Ditched the factory 17", crap wheels. Went with 20's. with an offset 12mm

Wouldn't recommend relying on helper bags to increase your ride height, unless you don't mind a rougher ride. Our HP10358 air spring kit is designed to help maintain the stock ride height while under load (and makes a good companion upgrade to a HP10253 leveling kit in the front), but would make things awfully stiff if there was enough pressure to raise the ride height all by itself.
