Tire ?: Toyo MT 285/75r17 (~34s) on 17x8s

I have a 2002 7.3L 4x4 Ex. Last weekend I replaced the stock front springs with some "X" springs and swapped the rear block for the taller F350 block.

I see lots of posts about fitting 285/75r16s (~33s) on stock springs.

I am hoping to fit 285/75r17 (~34s) now that my Ex sits a little taller.

For the tires I am looking at the Toyo MT LT285/75R17, Load Rang E/10 ply, Max load 3195 lbs, Max pressure 80 psi.

For the wheels I am looking at the American Racing Teflon Mojave 17x8 with 4.5 BS.

Do you guys think this set up will work with my "X" spring lift (+2.5")? I don't mind trimming the valance or massaging/trimming the plastic fender liner. Is the max load range of 3195 lbs enough for the Ex?

Main purpose for this vehicle is towing my jeep on a 16 foot car hauler.

I appreciate any advice before I spend the cash.

Before Stock Springs/Blocks

After "X" springs and F350 blocks

Got the new wheel and tires. 17x8 American Racing Teflon Mojave with 285/75r17 Toyo MTs.

Before

After

The wheels and tires

And just for fun compared to a new 15/39.5-16.5 TSL Bias that I just warrantied for the jeep.

The new look ... doesn't rub and drives great

Looks great! I plan on 285/75-16 on my factory rims when I get around to putting my new springs on. I have the Toyo MT's on my pickup and am very happy with them.

I got the wheels and tires locally through my neighborhood Discount Tire.

X-springs are replacement front leave springs from an F350 with snow plow package. They give you ~2.5 inch lift up front.

X-Springs ... part number 2C3Z*5310*AF

Clearance to bump stop before

Clearance to bump stop after

X-spring next to stock Excursion spring

Not sure if I have before measurements maybe on a scrap of paper somewhere in the garage . After measurements were 39.50" Front and 40.50" Rear with 265/75r16s. I'll get new measurements tonight with the new wheels/tires.

Very nice lookn. Those rims would look sweet on my black X. I was wondering how the road noise is with those tires, Looking to replace mine but dont want to have to crank up the kids dvds.

Thanks. Noise is minimal. You will not have to crank up the kids dvds.
