Got the high idle deal done today, used a 20k ohm resistor & AUX 3 switch which puts the idle at 1200 rpm when engaged

I had to buy a pack of 10 resistor so I have 9 left, if anyone needs one PM me & I'll put one in the mail

I ended up with about 1/2 gal of 50/50 mix out of the 5 gal I bought left. I had run tap water through 3 times, driving a short spell to reach op temp between each emptying. I was getting about 4 gal out with each drain from the primary & about 1 1/2 gal out of the sec. I then ran distilled water 2x the same way. When I last drained they both ran pretty clear. When I went to fill I figured there was close to 4 gal left in engine & heater & close to a gal in the sec. so I dumped 2 gal concentrate in the primary & about 3/4 gal in the sec then finished with a 50/50 mix. The trick to draining the sec is removing the hose off the bottom that runs to trans cooler (in case you didn't know), the drain petcock is in a helluva spot lol
You might want to check the freeze point of both systems to ensure you got back to a 50/50 mix. Based on your estimate of 4 gallons of water left in the system, and only adding 2 gallons of concentrate and topping off with 50/50, you will be well below a 50/50 mix overall, and run the risk of not having adequate freeze or boil protection.

I believe you are correct about adding the 2 gal of concentrate to my estimate of 4 gals left in the engine, must not have been 4 gal left because after running the truck a few days it read good to -30 on the anti-freeze tester I have. I don't remember what the boil-over read exactly but it was pretty close to the recommended protection.

Well I got the code for the DEF heater the day before I deleted my truck so I'd say the timing was pretty good. Replaced all 4 shocks & other than a front u-joint on the pass.side I believe I'm pretty much done with getting everything set so I have a good idea of what maint needs done & when. Enjoying the added fuel mileage from the delete so far & with the tune I have I haven't seen any soot from the exhaust pulling or empty.
Almost time for an oil change
