Small issue with my 95. It’s a 5.0 If that matters but it starts right up no problem after sitting overnight or for an extended period. After running it some, driving around and then attempting to restart it again it takes a long time to catch and turn over. Thinking it may be just old parts that need replacing. Haven’t dug super deep but I think it’s the distributor or flywheel teeth possibly aren’t catching? Help please! Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

We need a better clarification of what it is really doing. Does the engine spin over and fail to start? OR does the starter fail to engage and spin the engine over?
Apologies.. engine does spin over just fails to start. Only after it’s been running (hot engine). After an overnight sit it’ll turn right over with little/no spin

Apologies.. it’s the starter failing to engage and spin the engine over, it eventually will but usually takes 6-7 seconds of cranking
My guess would be you got too much gas leaking into the cylinders after the engine is shut off. If you shut the engine off after it is warmed up and try to start it back up right away before any gas has time to leak down, will it start up quickly?

Ah yes it’ll start right back up after that. Seems like it could be that, How do I fix this? I do most of my own work

I will yield the floor on this one to some other members who are a lot more knowledgeable on fuel injection than I am. Hopefully they will see this and chime in.
I have a 95 also and had the same problem I think. Finally one day it wouldn't turn over at all. Went and bought a starter and along with the starter was a short piece of wire that said to replace the one that burnt. When taking out the old I noticed a wire that was burnt for about 4". What happens is the starter was drying up and was taking more juice to turn it over and heating that wire. I still have that piece of wire and I think the paper work that came with it if you'd like I will email info to you.

You know, I thought it possibly was a starter related issue. I recently had to replace it (first time) and got the feeling it was around that. please email me any info you have in regards to that. My email is my username @gmail
