Tennis ball or heat gun looks like brand new even know its only two months old
I'm old and remember when inner bed walls were 1st introduced to pickups to keep cargo from denting the bedsides from the inside out.
Then came bed liners. Then came spray liners. Some do a drop-in liner over their spray liner.
Then came tailgate caps in diamond plate and plastic. And it wasn't long before the manufacturers began adding the plastic tailgate caps from the factory, 1st on higher trim levels and then across the line.
I remember when the SS or diamond plate bed rails were the rage. Then the manufacturers started adding the plastic rail caps that's standard now on pretty much all pickups.
I guess there needs to be protectors to protect the protectors.
I find myself wondering if anyone is selling steel or aluminum caps for the bed rails and tailgate?
Sorry for bringing up an old thread.... but seriously, does anyone offer an aftermarket bed rail cap that's better than the cheap plastic feel? Would love to see some black diamond plate ones, but maybe the clip in system is too hard to manufacture? Haven't found any yet, put them on my wish list.
