5.4 trucks have the 9 3/4 rear end. And there is 3 ratios. 3.08s, and 3.55s. 3.73s will be on 7700s.
Does your truck have the off Road package? If so it will have 3.55s.

If it is the stock rear end look at the door tag but from the bottom line it appears to be a 3.55 and it is a 9.75 weather it has the 19 or H9 on the door tag is whether it is limited slip or not.
19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 – 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS

You have the 3.55, open differential, 9.75" based on what you have provided.

The "3" is probably covered by the bolt head.

If it were an LS axle, the bottom row would read "3L55" as the first characters. It may be possible that the "L" is also under the bolt head so you may need to pull the tag off for a closer look.

maybe this will help

String is holding gear in place to be sure it does not fall out. Replacing axle bearings is the reason so I can get the right bearings the first time
